After the day before being filled with thrills and fireworks, we decided to relax and walk around some Ohio museums. We packed our bags and headed further east towards Cleveland. On the shoreline of Lake Erie, is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It’s a striking looking structure which features glass enclosed double pyramids alongside a 162 foot tower. Inside, the Hall of Fame offers 6 levels of music history, exhibits, artifacts, and memorabilia from your favorite rock and roll, blues, metal or R&B bands.
About an hour south of Cleveland is the city of Canton, which is home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Throughout the museum you will find football history, exhibits, artifacts, and memorabilia, but the heart of the museum is the display of inductees. The Hall of Fame Gallery is a dimly lit hallway full of over 250 bronze busts, one for each inductee. Another cool thing to see is the new season’s Vince Lombardi Trophy. After it is created each year, the sterling silver trophy is displayed at the Pro Football Hall of Fame until the Super Bowl, so fans who visit get the opportunity to see the trophy they hope their team will win.
